Pauleen National and Organizational cultures, and Knowledge Managment It is clear that KM is not simply a matter of managing information; it is essentially a deeply socia process, which must take into account human and social facotrs. . . , as well as cultural issues. Thomas, Kellog, and Ericskson (2001) argue that a successful KM system is one that include a knowledge community, where people can interact in the discovery, use, and manipulation of kowledge. What I experienced was obtuse and complex software that was packed with gratuitous features at the expense of usability and user experience. It was software written by geeks, for geeks.
